ASTER Pharmacy donates Aed 250,000 to Noor Dubai Foundation
DUBAI, December 4, 2013: Aster Pharmacy a division of Aster DM Healthcare, the leading healthcare conglomerate in the Middle East and India, donated Aed 250,000 (Aed Two hundred fifty thousand only) to Noor Dubai Foundation, a charitable non-governmental organization to combat blindness and visual disability globally, as per the commitment taken to donate 1% of the total sale for the month of July and August.

Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, personally handed over the cheque to H.E. Engineer Essa Al Haj Al Maidour, Chairman of Noor Dubai Foundation and Director General of Dubai Health Authority in presence of Dr. Manal Taryam, CEO and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Noor Dubai Foundation and other senior officials.

The donation will support the Noor Dubai's global campaigns against blindness and other causes of preventable vision loss among underprivileged people across the world. The initiative is part of Aster DM Healthcare's Corporate Social Responsibility commitment of making meaningful contributions to the communities.

Noor Dubai Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit organization launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to provide the gift of sight in countries of need. The Foundation began its global campaigns dedicated to combat preventable and treatable blindness among the under served population of the world, to return the gift of sight to people who have lost the hope of treatment due to poverty.
